The Department prepares the students for careers in the areas of Textile Design, Fashion and Apparel Design and for research in the relevant areas of Textile and Apparel Designing. After completion of degree, students are equipped with latest knowledge, technology and skill in apparel manufacturing, fashion designing and textile designing so that they would prove to be an asset for any institute/ organization /Industry. They are well versed with new technology, computer applications and elements of entrepreneurship to start their own venture also. Hence, there is ample scope of employment opportunities after graduation and post-graduation in the field of apparel, fashion and textile designing.
